Three Temptation

Today (Sunday, 9 March 2014) is the First Sunday of Lent. The lent has started on Ash Wednesday ago. The lent is the time to reflect our lives. There are three words that must we know along this time, Pray, Fast, and Mercy.

Moreover, in the reading today, we listen the three temptations. There are Jesus and the Devil. Jesus was hungry after he fasted for 40 days and 40 nights. The temptations are these, change the stone become the bread, the question about the identity of Jesus as Son of God, and the identity of Jesus as a King that have kingdom.

These temptations are a choice of life. The Devil invites Jesus and invites us today to follow him. In other words, we must leave the God. We do not love God because we love the Devil. As we saw on Sunday ago, we must love also one master; we cannot love two masters. I write this on Love Sunday 8.

These temptations invite us to do not love God with all our hearts, do not love God with all our soul, do not love God with all our strength. These temptations come when we are in the lent. As Jesus that faced these temptations when he was hungry.

Two Masters

Sunday, 2 March 2014. In St Christina Church, I attend the Sunday celebrating. As a Catholic, I always read and listen the Jesus’s words. Today, I like reading this part, “Jesus said to his disciples: “No one can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

I title this writing with two masters. Like Jesus said in the gospel. Two masters are God and mammon. I think it is true. Like in daily life, we cannot love two people at the same time. In relation among the girl and the boys it makes jealous. Because, the boys cannot love two girls. Maybe he can but not totally love them.

My friend Mrs Angela teaches the children today. I also attend in this class. But, like the Sundays, I am the observer or listener. My Italian language, yet little. But there is a good thing today.

Usually, I read the first reading, but today I read the Responsorial Psalm. It is the first time for me. I do not know how is in the next. Today, Father Luciano read the first reading. It is really the first reading is very interesting. I am interested in reading. This is the quoted of this reading, “Can a mother forget her infant, be without tenderness for the child of her womb? Even should she forget,
I will never forget you.”  I think there is not a mother that forgets her infant. Maybe one day she forgets but always she remembers.

Mother always remembers her baby. This is the first love that we received in the world. Mother loves to totally. I think, Jesus today want to share with us to love totally. Not to love two masters.

Love and Prayer

I am sorry I am late again. This is my bad attitude. I would write as soon as I return to my home but I always cannot do it. But, in this time I want to thank for you, the readers that read my article happily.

In this article, I want to write about love and pray. I remember one sentence today (Sunday, February 23, 2014). Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.

Maybe this is impossible. We usually pray for our friends, our family, our son, our religion, our group, and so on. We usually also love our parents, our choices, love all things that we likely.

However, I think it is possible to love enemies. Maybe it is difficult but, through this, we can make a good relationship with others and also with Him.


My friend Simon, when we teach the children, said that, “We must love all friends that we hate.” Just it is difficult for the children and for the adults. “But, we must try it”, said Simon.
