Lunedì 2 giugno 2014. È un giorno speciale. È il 68mo anniversario della nascita della Repubblica Italiana e anche è un giorno di vacanza. È vero che ogni lunedì siamo in vacanza cioè non abbiamo scuola ma oggi è vacanza speciale.

Ieri sera ho sentito che qualcuno ha detto che domani (oggi 2 giugno) diremo la preghiera alle 8. Mi sono fidato di questa voce. Sappiamo tutti che come di solito nel giorno di vacanza come alla domenica diciamo la preghiera alle 8 della mattina.

Ma era uno sbaglio cioè in realtà la preghiera era alle 7.20. Non l’ho seguita. Non ero solo io ma anche altri. Erano cinque che hanno detto la preghiera alle 7.20. Sono andato in cappella prima delle 8 ma lì non c’era nessuno. Allora, ho saputo subito che la preghiera era alle 7.20.

Poi, sono andato in refettorio. C’erano i miei confratelli. Ho detto loro, “Buon giorno, scusate, sono in ritardo.” Poi, mi sono seduto, ho preso il latte. I miei amici hanno chiesto perché ero in ritardo. Ho detto loro che credevo la preghiera fosse alle 8.


Poi, il rettore ci ha detto che in certi dubbi, scegliete l’opzione più difficile come facevano i profeti nella Bibbia. Sono d’accordo. Il mio compito adesso è di fare come hanno fatto i profeti.

Peace Be with You

Peace is the word more proclaim all the time. Recently more and more proclaim because everywhere the people live without peace. They have not the peace. We can see the conflict in any country, Syrian, Russian, Ukraine, Pakistan, and so on. In this country, the people live without peace. They live in the chaos.

The conflict creates the fear among the people. They fear because no one knows when the enemy come, when the war happen. In Yogyakarta City, Indonesia at 29 May ago, a group of people dressed in gamis/jammies (long clothes usually worn by Arab) attacked the Catholic people when they are praying. This case makes the people fear.

This incident precisely the incident of the disciples. They fear the Jews. But, Jesus comes to them when they are fearful. Jesus great them, “Peace be with you.” Yes, no peace in the fear. I think, how suffer the people live in the conflict area. There is not peace there. Many of us today live without peace. Maybe we have the job, the task, where we get the salary monthly but it is not enough to gain the peace. The peace is felt in the heart and not only the peace physical.

Last night, in the vigil of the Pentecost Sunday, the bishop of Parma Mgr Enrico Solmi repeated the invitation of the Pope Francis. The Pope invited us to pray for peace. Pope Francis has invited the presidents of Israel and Palestine, Shimon Peres and Mahmoud Abbas, to join him in a prayer encounter at the Vatican Saturday 6 June 2014. We hope there more people try to create the peace in our world.

Don’t worry if we seldom fail to create the peace. Actually, the fear more big than the peace. The fear dominated our heart, so that no peace in our self.

The Holy Spirit helps us to liberate our heart from the fear. The disciples receive the Holy Spirit from Jesus—read in the Gospel of the Pentecost Sunday, today. It liberated them from the fear. Finally, the disciples are rejoicing. They rejoice because receive the Holy Spirit and see Jesus. Let us pray for the people haven’t the peace, partly that live in the conflict area, in the war area.

Kemarin, hari yang cukup unik. Uniknya karena ada suasana baru. Sejak bangun pagi, suasana itu tercipta. Suasana itu juga yang memorakporandakan rumah kami. Seperti biasa sejak awal hari yang baru, kami mulai mempersiapkan aktivitas. Pagi ini juga kami melakukan seperti itu. Hanya saja suasananya lain.

Saya–seperti penghuni rumah lainnya–bangun dari tempat tidur dan mencari kontak lampu. Seperti biasa tugas ini dijalankan saat bangun tidur di pagi hari. Tetapi terang yang diharapkan itu tidak ada. Lampu tidak menyala. Rupanya sedang padam, giliran listrik padam atau ada gangguan sementara. Saya melanjutkan perjalanan ke kamar mandi untuk mandi pagi. Mandi dalam keadaan setengah gelap. Di luar memang sudah mulai sedikit terang namun di kamar mandi masih setengah gelap. Meski demikian, saya bisa mandi. Lumayan…bau badan hilang.

Setelahnya saya melakukan aktivitas biasa. Posisi kontak lampu di kamar masih seperti tadi pagi. Dan ternyata posisinya masih “on”. Anehnya, bukan hanya di kamar saya saja. Di kamar lain juga seperti itu. Termasuk di kamar mandi. Ketika aliran listrik kembali normal, sebagian kamar tidur mendadak terang. Kamar mandi dan beberapa ruang lainnya juga demikian. Padahal tidak ada penghuni di dalamnya.

Beginilah pengalaman aneh hari ini. Semua gara-gara listrik mati. Andai saya ke luar rumah hari ini, arus listrik tetap jalan. TAgihan akhir bulan membengkak karena lampu-lampu yang menyala tadi. BEruntunglah saya masih di rumah sehingga mematikan semua lampu itu. Pelajaran yang dipetik dari pengalaman ini adalah ketelitian dalam menekan stop kontak di rumah Anda. PAstikan bahwa kontak dalam posisi “off” ketika Anda keluar rumah atau ketika ada gangguan dengan aliran listrik. Kita tak tahu kapan listrik mati, biasanya tiba-tiba saja apalagi di musim hujan. Oleh karena itu, waspadalah selalu, mencegah sejak dini sebelum tagihan listrik Anda membengkak. Terima kasih dan salam.
